Hannah Spearritt

Hannah Spearritt began acting at age 12 starring in various productions in National Youth Music Theatre including Annie, Tin Pan Ali, and Bugsy Malone. In 1997, Hannah was cast in the ITV/A&E Television movie ‘The Carter Street Hangman‘.

Hannah subsequently auditioned to became a member of the British pop group S Club 7, which wound up being a BRIT Award-winning British pop group created by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller. The group rose to fame via their own BBC television show which ran for 4 seasons, in addition to several television specials and a hit movie they also sold a whopping 16 million records worldwide and launched four number one hit singles in the United Kingdom. 

Following her the two movies, Hannah took some time off to spend time with family and friends. Hannah reemerged in 2005 when she appeared in two episodes of Blessed, where she played a member of a fake girl band. In December of 2005, Hannah appeared in a west end production called ‘Snow: The Musical’, but after only 3 weeks the show was cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

In 2007 Hannah landed a leading role in the Sci-Fi drama ‘Primeval’ where she plays a zoologist helping to stop the end of the world. The show ran for 5 seasons. Following “Primeval” Hannah returned to the stage performing in stage plays such as “The Belle’s Stratagem” and “One Man, Two Guvnors.” Over the next few years, Hannah would appear in an episode ‘Death in Paradise’ and have a 9-episode story arch for Casualty.

Between 2017 and 2018, Spearritt made several cameo appearances on the BBC drama Eastenders as Kandice Taylor, the sister of series regular Karen Taylor (played by Lorraine Stanley). She departed the show following the pregnancy of her first daughter. In 2018, the film “I, Dog” was released. In the subsequent years, Hannah would appear at various Comic-Con conventions with Primeval co-stars.

Following the birth of her daughter, Tèa, Hannah spent the following years as a full-time mum. In December of 2020, Hannah announced the surprise birth of her second daughter, Tora. In July of 2022, Hannah announced she had begun preparations for an organic café and food market named “Earth & Fire”. In October 2022, Hannah participated in ITV’s “Celebrity Health Stories” which documents her journey through Breast Implant Illness following a breast augmentation in 2013.

In February early 2023, Hannah rejoined S Club 7 for their 25th anniversary reunion. In April of 2023, Paul Cattermole, Hannah’s ex-boyfriend and bandmate passed away of natural causes. Following the passing of Paul, Hannah opted to not continue with the reunion, therefore, leaving the band as a five piece. In October of 2023, Hannah released her autobiography “Facing The Music” via Hatchett Books.

In 2024, Hannah took part in ITV’s “Dancing On Ice“.
